Sunlight

Vegetables love the sun!

We've pulled together a quick sunlight check list to help you on your way.

Sunlight, Vegetables love the sun!

We have planned out the vegetables you will grow through the year, so that each one is growing in its best season. All you need to do is follow these 3 steps, and you'll be good to grow all year round!

1. 6-8 hours is perfect

The best place for your vegetables is a spot where they get ~6-8 hours of direct sunlight each day (on a sunny day!) - this is usually somewhere south facing.

2. Afternoon sun is better than morning sun

If you have the choice of a spot which gets morning sun or one which gets sun in the afternoon, we recommend going for the afternoon sun.

Afternoon sun is generally stronger than morning sun, helping your plants grow faster!

3. Watch out for the greenhouse effect!

Strong sun shining through a window can sometimes sunburn plants. Watch out for this on hot summer days, and consider moving your plants to a shadier windowsill if they are burning.
